Bible Studies:

Women’s Bible Study: Join us for our study of the Gospel of Luke, starting the week of September 8. To get ahead of the game, read the book of Luke in advance! Sign up at our information table between services on August 24 or at the Ministry Fair on September 7. For more information, contact Sandy Mendel (408.739.5024, mendelsm@aol.com) or Brenda Poon (408.725.8700, bhopoon@gmail.com), or see attached Schedule for 2008-2009.

We are pleased to announce the inclusion of a new weekly Luke study on Tuesday nights!

ANOTHER WOMEN’S STUDY OPTION COMING IN SEPTEMBER: We invite you to The Five Aspects of Woman course which presents a Biblical theology of femininity. By studying God’s original and exemplary gender patterns - Adam and Eve, God and Israel, Christ and the Church - we see God’s design and purpose for masculinity and femininity. This course provides a biblical vision and paradigm for understanding and living God’s design for women. This 23 week course will be offered at two different times:

• Wednesday mornings starting Sept. 10 at PBCC at 9:15am (child care available through Noah’s Place) facilitated by Wanda Belton and Sandra Wulff. For more information or to sign up, contact Wanda at wanda.belton@gmail.com or 408.738.324.

• Thursday evenings starting Sept. 18 at PBCC at 7pm-9pm (no child care available) facilitated by Patty Peckham and Char Paddack. For more information or to sign up contact Char Paddack at mrspaddack@comcast.net or 408.296.5904 in the daytime or Patty Peckham at patty_peckham@sbcglobal.net or 408.978.77?5 in the eveningsSupport Groups:

Support Groups for Women: Wendy Witham. Licensed Marriage and Family therapist and member of the PBC Palo Alto community, is offering two different support groups for women: "Life Group," for those experiencing difficult emotions or encountering stress in their lives, and Healing From Hurts of the Past," to deal with childhood experiences of abuse, trauma, neglect or loss. If either of these are of interest to you, please click on the link at the beginning of the paragraph or contact Wendy at 650.948.4563.
